Terms of Use
PushOn is a free pushup counter with optional friends, groups and leaderboards. By using the app or signing in, you agree to these terms. If you use PushOn from the Apple App Store, Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement also applies.
The short version
- Zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Offensive names, harassment or spam get removed, and the account gets banned.
- Report or block anyone right in the app. I review every report within 24 hours.
- PushOn is not a medical device. Check with a doctor before starting a new exercise routine.
1. Your account
You don’t need an account to count pushups. Signing in with Apple or Google is optional and turns on friends, groups and leaderboards. You must meet the age requirements in the Privacy Policy. Keep your sign-in secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
2. What is not allowed
The only things other people see from you are your @username, display name, the names of groups you create and your workout numbers. They must not:
- be hateful, harassing, threatening, sexual, violent or discriminatory, or promote illegal activity;
- impersonate another person or brand, or include someone else’s private information;
- be spam or advertising.
You must also not harass other users, try to access other accounts or data, interfere with the service, or fake workouts to cheat on leaderboards. Names are automatically checked against a list of offensive terms, but that filter is not perfect, so reports matter.
3. Reporting and blocking
- Report a person from the … menu on their row (friends, requests, search results) or by tapping them on a group leaderboard. Report a group from the bottom of its leaderboard. Choose a reason: offensive name, harassment, spam, cheating or other.
- Block a person from the same menus. Once blocked, they can’t find you, send you requests, use your invite code or appear on your leaderboards, and you won’t see them. Any friendship between you is removed. They are not told. Unblock any time in Social, then Settings, then Blocked users.
- I review every report within 24 hours. When content breaks these terms I remove it, for example by resetting a username or renaming or deleting a group, and I ban the account that posted it.
- You can also report anything by email: asafcoheng@gmail.com.
4. Health and safety
PushOn is a fitness app, not a medical device, and it gives no medical advice. Exercise at your own risk, stop if you feel pain, dizziness or shortness of breath, and check with a doctor before starting a new routine, especially if you have a health condition. Put the phone on a stable surface, and keep it where you won’t fall on it.
5. Ending your account
You can delete your account in the app at any time (Social, then Settings, then Delete account). See how to delete your account. I may suspend or delete accounts that break these terms.
6. The service
PushOn is free, with no ads and no in-app purchases. It is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. Counts depend on your taps and may be wrong. I may change or stop features, including the online features, at any time. To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and my total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app, which is zero. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be waived.
7. Changes
If I change these terms, I will update this page and its effective date. For significant changes I will tell you in the app or on the website before they take effect.
